This Heritage bulkhead is hand-built to replicate the original Land Rover Series 2 specification for March 1958 only. Suitable for both 88 and 109 wheelbase vehicles. Manufactured in 1mm steel and double-plated where the original was, with brackets, fixtures and details matched to your vehicle's exact manufacture date.

How to Identify This Bulkhead
Doors & Hinges
- Door Pillars with 5/16" UNF captive square nuts.
- Door Hinges secured with 5/16" captive nuts on to nut plates.
- 'Bolt on' type Door Check tubes.
Ventilator Panel
- Ventilator Outer Panel with drain channel on cab side.
- Ventilator Outer Panel has no holes for wiper spindles or washer jets.
- Hinges for Ventilator Lids welded to the Ventilator Outer Panel.
- Screw type Ventilator controls.
Glove Box & Parcel Shelf
- Parcel Shelf with holes for Round Heater Demister Tubes.
- Holes for separate Voltage Regulator Mounting Plate.
- No infill pieces between Glove Box Back Panel and Door Pillars.
- Auxiliary panel mounted below main instrument panel.
Footwells & Dip Switch
- Bracket for horn fixed to LH Side Panel of LH Footwell with 3 bolts.
- No holes for Steering Unit reinforcement brackets on either footwell panel (a very early identifying feature).
- No holes for LHD Accelerator Pedal Bracket in LH Footwell.
- Diamond shaped holes in footwell panels for early type FS22 Dip Switch.
Middle Panel & Gussets
- Middle Panel with holes for Round Heater.
- Middle Gusset Panel with pilot holes for Round Junction Box.
Engine Side
- Gearbox Tunnel without hole to access Clutch Bleed Nipple.
- LH Bonnet Hinge with angled bottom and mousehole.
- RH Bonnet Hinge with bonnet locating lug.
- Tie Rod Brackets on engine side point inwards at angles.

All Shielder chassis and bulkheads come with a 5 year non-transferable manufacturers warranty covering the integrity of the item for a period of 5 years from the date of purchase.
We warrant that under normal use, outside of any accident or misuse or overloading the chassis or bulkhead will not fatigue or fail to be able to perform its normal duties safely.
Impact Fabrications LTD trading as Shielder Chassis will not be liable for any consequential loss in connection with a claim on this warranty, including recovery fees or onward travel costs.

Impact Fabrications Limited, founder and owner of Shielder Chassis, is a family-owned business established in 1991. We started manufacturing steel products for specialist industries and now focus solely on Land Rover parts.
As Land Rover owners and enthusiasts ourselves, we understand the financial reality of restoration projects. That's why we engineered our business differently - inhouse operations, direct-to-customer sales, and fair pricing that doesn't compromise on quality.
